How Meta Bitbook Started
The first thing I must say is that I do not adore NimbleBits’ game, Tiny Tower. The gameplay is extremely repetitive, simplistic, and requires no real brainpower to play it.
Other similar simulation games, such as Kairosoft’s Game Dev Story or Hot Springs Story, are much more involving and are simply more satisfying and rewarding to play.
However, I have to admit that, whenever I’m bored enough, I’ll pick up my iPod touch and load up the app to fiddle around with it. But since Tiny Tower pretty much plays itself, I rarely spend much time with it (says the person with 60+ Bitizens and 36+ floors).
Well, all right. That should read: “I rarely spend QUALITY time with it”; that is, I don’t devote hours in a day or an entire week to playing Tiny Tower. My progress is slow compared to players addicted to the thing. I believe this is due to the fact that I don’t spend any money to buy Tower Bux to hurry up floor construction or restock items. :P
Lord knows it took almost 12 hours total to get the 75 Bux needed to upgrade the elevator. The next upgrade is 125 Bux. =__=
Anyway, the whole reason I started Meta Bitbook was simply to fulfill my wish for Bitizens to post particular things regarding Tiny Tower for their Bitbook updates. Afterall, a lot of the quips already poke fun of various aspects of the game itself. :D
I ended up spamming Twitter with a bunch of fictional BB updates, but eventually, I thought it’d be more fun to do an actual parody by modifying a Bitbook update.

The “screenshots” I post will forever show that D. Gentleman posted 1 minute ago and that his posts were liked by 7 Bitizens since I’m too lazy to change things. :P
